The Most Epic Ladies' Night Out for a Cause!

Charleston Mom Prom is a formal charity event where ladies 21+ get dressed up and dance the night away in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Started by a local mom whose son was born with cystic fibrosis (CF), the event was designed to be a fun girls’ night out that brings awareness to CF and raises vital funds for the CFF.

Hosted at the gorgeous Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Harbor, this is one ladies' night out you do NOT want to miss!

Your ticket includes:

• TONS of dancing with DJ Earl of The Dance Doctors
• 1 free drink + amazing sweet treats to fuel your dance moves
• Photobooth fun
• The chance to be crowned our 2024 "Prom Queen" and enter our best-dressed competition

Additional CFF donation opportunities will be available during the event, so bring your wallet!

Plan Ahead

Your ticket includes desserts but not dinner, so plan to support some of our amazing local restaurants prior to the event.

We want everyone to have fun and get home safely. Consider getting a room for the night at the hotel, or plan to get an Uber or have a designated driver.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is driven by a dream that one day— every person with cystic fibrosis will have the chance to live a long, healthy life. Recognized globally, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has led the way in the fight against cystic fibrosis, fueling extraordinary medical and scientific progress. The life expectancy of someone born with CF has doubled in the last 30 years. Despite this progress, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies.

Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis and a life free from the burden of this disease. We will not leave anyone behind. You are an important part of our progress. Together, let’s make CF stand for Cure Found.

In people with cystic fibrosis, a defective gene causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria, leading to infections, extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. Many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies, either because their disease is too advanced or because their specific genetic mutations will not respond.

Those who can take current therapies continue to face challenging complications leading to hospitalizations, missed school and work, and significant interruptions in their daily routine. Sadly, many children and adults with CF still face the sobering prospect of a shortened life span.

2024 Charleston Mom Prom CF Ambassador

Anita Humphries lives in Greenville, SC (but is a native Charlottean!) and is married with three adult daughters. She enjoys reading, traveling, and hiking. She and her husband John are currently section hiking the Appalachian trail on their free weekends and she hiked over 700 miles in 2023! Anita has helped with the SC CFF Xtreme Hike for the last couple of years, and she’s excited to be kicking up her heels at the Mom Prom to raise money for CF.

Jenny Humphries lives in Greenville, SC as well, and is a proud mom to a teenager. She celebrated a milestone 40th birthday this year! Jenny works for the National Trust for Historic Preservation and in her free time she loves anything to do with crafting and theater. Over the summer, she and her daughter visited NYC and saw 6 shows in 4 days! Jenny has been

involved with the Charlotte CFF for years and is very excited to be speaking at her first SC CFF event.
